Evaluation of Mechanical and Tribological Properties of Biowaste and Biowaste Based Silica Particulate Epoxy Composites

This paper reports the mechanical-erosion wear properties of extracted silica from Biowaste (rice husk) and pure rice husk-filled epoxy composites. A comparison is made on influence dispersed husk particles The composites are fabricated by hand lay-up process. specimens tested as per ASTM standards for three different filler loadings each separately (2,4 6wt%). It perceived that with increase in loading epoxy, there a decline tensile, flexural, erosion properties. also evident that, content until 6 %, tensile flexural strength have displayed consistent enhancement. Alongside, results confirm had exhibited transition semi-brittle to ductile nature due addition fillers.
